NativeOUT is proud to introduce the 2006 Miss Indian Transgender Arizona, Angel Manuel of the Tohono O'odham Nation. Angel also won the Miss Congeniality and Miss Best Talent titles.

The 2006 pageant was planned by Trudie Jackson with the Native American Pathways Prevention Project. At the conclusion of this year, Pathways grants will run out and the program will no longer exist. Pathways started the pageant to celebrate and recognize the Native American Transgender community. This yearly pageant will be organized by one of Arizona’s Native American LGBT communities.
