The Coquille Indian Tribe, on the southern Oregon coast, has adopted a law recognizing same-sex marriage. As far as NativeOUT knows, this is the first tribe in the nation to pass a law allowing same-sex marriage. The Cherokee Nation and the Navajo Nation have both passed laws banning same-sex marriage.
